Freelance journalist and practising family doctor. Published numerous features in World Medicine, Medical News, Times Health Supplement, British Journal of Sexual Medicine, The Sunday Times etc., as well as book and record review columns. Regular radio broadcaster. Author of THE MOTHERCARE GUIDE FOR THE EXPECTANT FATHER, COPING WITH A TERMINATION and BULIMIA.
Awarded a CBE in 2004 and is currently President of the Royal College of General Practitioners.
