Biography
Imraan grew up in Durban, South Africa. A Harvard and Yale graduate, he has been Assistant Professor of Writing at Adelphi University, New York. His stories have been published in the Threepenny Review and N+1 magazine, among others. He is Associate Professor in the University of Cape Town’s English department, and as an academic has worked extensively on Adam Smith, George Eliot, V.S. Naipaul and Vladimir Nabokov. He is completing a new novel and a short story collection.
