Biography
The Guardian's Blogsite called Kimberly's Iraq blog 'moving, well-written accounts of life embedded as a freelance journalist with US marines in Anbar province, Iraq.' Her Iraq coverage has been nominated for national and international journalism awards. She holds a B.A. degree in journalism from the University of South Carolina and has written for numerous publications, including USA Today, The Financial Times, Aviation Week and Space Technology. She lives in Washington.
Her memoir ODYSSEUS' DAUGHTER explores how the war in Iraq is shaping this generation, and grapples with the legacy of Vietnam before it.
