Biography
Marita van der Vyver is the prize-winning author of five adult novels, a short story collection and several children's books. Her memoir of living and writing in the south of France THE HEART OF OUR HOUSE, was an Afrikaans bestseller in 2004, beating Dan Brown in the Top Ten (all languages).
Femina magazine included her in '100 Women who shook South Africa' and she was one of ten women named Rapport/City Press Newspapers' Prestige Women of the year, 2004. Her fiction touches powerful emotional chords, and deals with complex relationship issues, in the vein of Joanna Trollope, or Jodi Picoult.
