Biography

A doctor and health and travel journalist who writes for the Independent, Conde Nast Traveller and BBC Wildlife Magazine. She has worked for various health programmes in Asia, including India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal.  A Fellow of the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, she is also a trained scuba diver, cave diver and lifesaver. Author of LEMURS OF THE LOST WORLD: Exploring the Forests and Crocodile Caves of Madagascar  (Impact Books, 1990), BUGS, BITES AND BOWELS (Cadogan, 1995) and YOUR CHILD'S HEALTH ABROAD (Bradt, 1998). She lives in Cambridge, England.
