Born in Liverpool.  Educated in a convent school.  Trained as a classical dancer and at the age of fifteen danced on stage with Margot Fonteyn.  Worked as a dancer for five years for the Tom Arnold company.  (Pantomime and summer shows).  Also worked teaching dance to mentally handicapped children.  At 21, Barbara became an airline stewardess and saw a lot of the world.  At 24 she married and had a child.  Her husband owned a casino near Southend on Sea and she became very involved in running it.

When she was 32 they returned to the north, Manchester, where she started her own business.  It was a promotion agency and she had 1000 women on the books.  They would go into stores around the country and promote products for major companies, ie. Estee Lauder, Revlon, Rank Hovis McDonald.  She also supplied extras for Granada Television and Yorkshire Television.  Barbara worked as an extra on numerous television shows.  Granada once asked her to appear as a personality to judge their 'Miss Granada' competition on television.

In London Barbara has done various things including working as a private detective.  She has also been involved in the property market working with a man who specialised in company takeovers.  She lives in Majorca.
