CHRONICLE OF A TEMPLAR Historical Novel
The story of Alwyn, a Saxon from Essex, who is the oldest living Knight Templar and the Grand Master of the Order has ordered that his life story be written down. The year is 1250 and Alwyn narrates his story to scribes in the Abbey he is retired to, frequently clashing with the Abbot as he does so.
The saga follows Alwyn through his childhood, being taken into his Lords castle, training as a man at arms, the Barons Revolt against Henry the Second, joining the Templars, the battle of Hattin and his knighthood.
Historically accurate, Chronicle of a Templar tells the story of the fall of Jerusalem, hints at the mysteries of the Knights Templar and is a tale of loyalty, duty, honour and comradeship as perceived by a simple, fallible man, told, by himself, with humour and the candour of an old man.
