Biography
Mark Denton was born and grown in the green-ish suburbs of London. He attended Coopers School in Chislehurst and went on to study Politics at the University of Exeter, where he met friend and writing partner Jonny Stockwood. Upon graduation in 2007, he embarked on a year's internship in the House of Commons, where he worked in the office of an MP. Mark began writing Canon Row, his first screenplay, as a result of one day realising that it was finally something he might actually be good at.
Jonny Stockwood was born in London to an American mother and British father. He was educated at the Royal Grammar School in Guildford before attending Exeter University, where he gained a bachelor's degree in Geography and a master's degree in International Relations. At Exeter he met Mark Denton, with whom he embarked upon a part full-time project of writing, drawing, painting and not studying. Jonny is a freelance graphic designer in his copious spare time, having provided branding and marketing for small businesses and events at various universities. He almost got paid for it once, too. Jonny also works as a researcher for a renewable energy production company and is a keen snowboarder, skier, mountain biker and surfer.
