Biography
Caroline has been the agony aunt for Now magazine for 15 years, one of the best-selling weekly magazines on the market. Before that she was agony aunt on Here magazine and Candis magazine. She has been a journalist since she was a teenager, specialising in relationship features for national magazines and newspapers.
Journalist and broadcaster Roy Greenslade was quoted in The Guardian as saying Caroline is 'a witty journalist with a good pedigree', a description she savours! Her mother was a successful feature writer and national newspaper columnist and Caroline was virtually brought up in Fleet Street.
While continuing to work in journalism Caroline also became a certified Relate counsellor. She now has many years experience working with both couples and singles. This gives her journalistic talent an edge not generally matched by her peers, as she possesses the knowledge and skill of the therapy world acquired through both study and practice.
Well over 20 years ago, and before her Relate training, Caroline wrote three self-help books, all published. They were 'The Sensuous Slimmer', (sex and slimming) 'Caught In the Act' (a study of infidelity from all three sides of the triangle) and 'The Single Parent's Survival Guide'.
Caroline is known in the trade for her good ideas. She is very creative and is currently loving being in the position at last to concentrate on writing what she wants to write! But she is very grateful for her years at the coalface because she has learned a great deal and is now very experienced in portraying knowledge in a warm and accessible way.
She has also had quite a bit of experience in television and radio - interviews and phone-ins etc.
Caroline feels passionate about her writing and is very inspirational. Her thousands of hours of counselling experience give her additional insight to help others understand, change and resolve unhelpful behaviour patterns.
