REDEMPTION FALLS longlisted for 2009 Impac Award

Joseph O'Connor's REDEMPTION FALLS - hailed as a modern masterpiece - has been nominated for the world's richest literary prize, the 2009 International Impac Dublin Literary Award.

The €100,000 award is the most valuable annual literary prize for a single work of fiction published in English in the world. Nominations for the prize come from 157 libraries in 117 cities and 41 countries worldwide.

Dublin City Council will announce the shortlist on April 2nd, 2009 and the winning novel will be revealed by the Lord Mayor of Dublin on June 11th, 2009.

REDEMPTION FALLS has been translated into 13 languages and was shortlisted for the Irish Novel of the Year Award 2008 and the  2007 Prix Femina Etranger in France.
