Marlene van Niekerk's latest novel THE WAY OF THE WOMEN (published as AGAAT in South Africa, and translated by Michiel Heyns) and her powerful debut, TRIOMF have been sold to Neri Pozza in a two-book auction in Italy. This will be Van Niekerk's first Italian publication. Rights to THE WAY OF THE WOMEN are also sold to Gallimard in France, and Querido in Holland, where the book has had outstanding sales and reviews (available on request). Little Brown will publish in the UK in November 2007.
