Nathalie Abi-Ezzi and Charles Lambert on the IMPAC Dublin Award Longlist

A GIRL MADE OF DUST by Nathalie Abi-Ezzi and LITTLE MONSTERS by Charles Lambert have both been longlisted for the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award. The shortlist will be announced on 14 April 2010, with the winner announced on 17 June 2010. Past winners of the IMPAC include Nobel Prize winner Herta Muller, Orhan Pamuk, Edward P. Jones, Colm Tóibín, Per Petterson and Rawi Hage.Shortlisted for the Authors' Club Best First Novel Award 2008, the Waverton Good Read Award 2009 and the Desmond Elliott Prize 2009 A GIRL MADE OF DUST is a poignant, warm and immensely readable novel set in a Christian village in Lebanon at the time of the Israeli invasion of the 1980s, and seen through the eyes of a young girl, Ruba. Published in the UK by Fourth Estate, A GIRL MADE OF DUST has also been sold in several countries around the world, including to Random in Canada and Grove Atlantic in the US. Translation rights are sold in Germany, Holland, Indonesia, Italy, Lithuania and Spain.
LITTLE MONSTERS is a haunting literary debut from Charles Lambert. Published by Picador in the UK, it tells the story of a damaged girl in post World War II England, and the woman she becomes in present day Italy. Lambert's latest novel, ANY HUMAN FACE, will be published by Picador in May 2010.
