Blake Friedmann expands team

November 13, 2009

As Blake Friedmann near the end of what has been an extremely strong trading year, we have restructured our team, with the addition of new staff members.

The directors, Carole Blake, Isobel Dixon and Julian Friedmann continue to represent their usual lists of clients.

For the rest of the book department:

Oli Munson becomes a fulltime agent, and intends to add to his already successful client list.

Lorissa Bouwer joins as Carole and Oli's assistant. She has worked with us for 6 weeks as an intern, so already knows our authors and our systems.

Turid Weingartz is Isobel's assistant, and also sells audio, serial rights and short stories for the whole agency, as well as handling permissions.  She will now expand her brief to include selling foreign rights to the Eastern European markets where we do not work with overseas agents

Tom Witcomb, who joined earlier this year, remains Julian's book assistant and general assistant for the book department.

Eva Papastratis continues as our Contracts Manager, handling all aspects of the administration and negotiation of contracts. In addition she handles translation sales for Greece.

Film department:

Julian Friedmann continues to be active as a film agent, along with Conrad Williams and Katie Williams (no relation!). Katie has recently expanded her brief to start her own list of film and TV scriptwriter clients, as well as handling film and TV adaptation rights to clients' work, with Conrad and Julian.

Adrian Clarke runs our finance department, handling all aspects of income, royalties and author payments.

And the whole office is ably supported and run by the very energetic Peter Calame.
