DADDY'S GIRL, the third book in Margie Orford's Clare Hart series, is a prequel, which charts the beginnings of the explosive relationship between the series' two main characters, Clare and Riedwaan. First published by Jonathan Ball in South Africa in September, it's already garnered stellar praise. Click here to read more.
DADDY'S GIRL has also been sold to Dutch publisher Luitingh Sijthoff, who have published both LIKE CLOCKWORK and BLOOD ROSE. Editor Hedda Sanders there says: 'I absolutely devoured DADDY'S GIRL. It is such a strong and compelling story. I'm impressed by how Margie succeeds in drawing Clare, Riedwaan and the world they live and work in. Besides being a story with strong characters DADDY'S GIRL is another gripping and sometimes scary portrait of modern day South-Africa.'
Rights in the series have also been sold in the UK to Atlantic, to Germany (Blanvalet), France (Payot & Rivages), Russia (Mir Knigi), Spain (Roca), and to the Czech Republic (Beta).
