Tony Lee at top of NYT Paperback Graphic Novel Bestseller List
May 17, 2010
Blake Friedmann author, Tony Lee, has shot to the top of the New York Times Paperback Graphic Novel Bestseller List with his graphic novel adaptation of cult smash hit PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES. Lee's adaptation of the book has beaten off the leaders of the graphic novel world, Alan Moore (WATCHMEN), Bryan Lee O'Malley (SCOTT PILGRIM) and Robert Kirkman (THE WALKING DEAD) to grab the hot spot.
His latest novel, DODGE & TWIST is an enthralling and entertaining sequel to Oliver Twist.
It remains faithful to much of Dickens' book: but he has given us a very modern spin on the Victorian tale. It's OCEAN'S ELEVEN if written by Charles Dickens, where we return, twelve years, later to visit the characters from Oliver Twist and the daring heist that they're about to pull, against a backdrop of loyalty, betrayal and murder.
