Peter James has won the Quick Reads Readers' Favourite Award. His novella, THE PERFECT MURDER, was published by Macmillan as part of the Quick Reads 2010 programme to promote adult literacy. Voted for by readers and adult learners via an online poll, James was honoured at a ceremony held in London as part of Adult Learners' Week (15-21 May).  Dame Gail Rebuck presented him with the award.

The award ceremony happened on the same day that DEAD TOMORROW, the fifth book in the Roy Grace series, was longlisted for the Theakston Old Peculier Crime Novel Of The Year 2010. DEAD LIKE YOU, the next Roy Grace novel, will be published on 27 May.
