THE DEVIL'S BREATH wins the Prix Polar Jeunesse in France

THE DEVIL'S BREATH is the first title in David Gilman's DANGER ZONE series, featuring fifteen-year old eco-hero Max Gordon. Gallimard Jeunesse published in France, where the prestigious Prix Polar Jeunesse award was presented to David at the Cognac Festival. See more on David's Blog
The series is already sold in thirteen countries, and THE DEVIL'S BREATH is making its US and Canadian appearance now. In the UK it was shortlisted for the Manchester Book Award and the Spellbinding Award, nominated for the Carnegie Medal, and picked for the government's recommended reading list for boys.
Puffin published the second DANGER ZONE title, ICE CLAW, this year - this title has been included in the World Book Day 2009 Activity Pack which will go to all UK schools. BLOOD SUN, set in Central America, will be out in the UK next Summer.
